1/8 Scale On-Road Electric Conversion @ RAMS--Sneaky Pete's Next Generation "eEvolva"
New video of latest generation of 1/8 scale on-road Kyosho "eEvolva" track testing at RAMS on 3/14/10 featuring the Team Tekin RX8/T8 combo. I believe the car is now ready for full racing! Run time was just over 10 minutes while driven by former RAMS club president, Steve Tsuruda. Motor temps topped out at 138 after 10:34 of run time. The speed was at the same level as the nitros with faster accelleration. With the temps at 138, I'm confident I could go up a tooth on the pinion for more speed if needed. Just think, guys, no more engine tuning, no clutches to deal with, S-M-O-O-T-H and nearly instaneous acceleration and throttle curves via your radio to your heart's content! 1/8 scale off-road electric racing is here and the future of 1/8 scale on-road racing is on the doorstep! Conversion parts in limited supply for the Evolva 03, 05, 07 and M3 are now finalized. These include a new carbon fiber top plate, top plate support, motor mount bracket and side belt tensioner bracket for the M3. The toughest item to obtain, guys, is the battery. I have limited access to getting these packs. They are custom made for me. If there is enough demand for the conversion, I can place an order, but otherwise, it could take some time to get 1 or 2 packs, so availability will be based upon demand.
