Uh.. he was in one of, if not the best, cars in the series. Put him in a first year start-up program and he becomes a no-name has been in a few weeks.
My grandmother could contend for an F1 championship if she got a ride with Ferrari.

k, first off, if ur saying that champ cars r bettr than f1, then ur just ignorant. just look at how hard it is for a cart driver 2 get in2 f1 and how ez it is for a shitty f1 driver 2 get in2 cart. ex: justin wilson, robert doornbros. Even 3-time cart champion bourdais took a long time 2 get in2 a f1 car.

And as for your saying of Nigel Mansell in a crappy champ car, doesnt champ car pride itself in having same chassis? Btw, with michael schumacher, he won 2 titles with a crappy f1 team, benetton-ford. U cud tell cause his teammate was alwaysfurther down in the grid. SCHumi and SEnna will always b the best drivers in the world!!!!!!!

I wasn't saying Champ Car is better than F1. That's obviously not the case. Although back in the heydey of CART it was pretty damn close. Although Champ Car today is a spec series, CART was not. They had different engines and chassises back then.
The point I was making is that the drivers aren't great in F1, it's the cars. (Some guys like Senna and Schumacher are exceptions though). Guys like Wilson and Doornbos only sucked because they were on sucky teams.

Indycar was the most competitive, most exciting, had the best fan interaction and was the greatest form of motorsport in the world until IRL came marching in and destroyed it. RIP Indycars. IRL and Champcar = B.O.R.I.N.G

Ahh the memories! You can talk all day about which driver is the best ever, you can even debate the pro's and con's of F1 and Indycar (as it was then) However for me 1993 just bought together a great driver with a great championship. Mansell was on top of his game driving in an exciting series of races.

Simply the best times for british flag waving, as Mansell fresh from winning the FI took Indy by storm and won the Indy title in his rookie year. And it all started here with is 1st win. Enjoy. I did at the time and will again watching this.

the best thing about this track is that over all these years the track layout has not changed to much which is rare in motorsport these days. this years indy 300 will have its 4 millionth fan enter the gates hope its me.
